Meet Michelle
From childhood, I resisted the constraints of the lines on a coloring page. That instinct to reimagine boundaries continues to drive my work today. I transform the humblest of materials, tissue paper, into something unexpected: a medium that embodies both fragility and strength.

My collages are explorations of duality: destruction and reconstruction, fragility and resilience, opacity and transparency. When mounted in acrylic, they take on an almost clinical clarity, showcasing the material’s contradictions while preserving its delicacy. Through color and shape, I invite viewers into a space of recognition and memory, where each collage feels both familiar and entirely new.
Ultimately, my practice is a meditation on transformation. By dismantling the fragile and reconstructing it into strength, I create work that mirrors life itself; layered, resilient, and illuminated by the light that falls upon it.
